Amidst doubts of his future in Formula 1, reports suggest that the Red Bull bosses look set to offer Daniil Kvyat another season at Scuderia Toro Rosso.
Kvyat did himself and his future no favours whatsover last weekend when he came into turn 1 like an absolute torpedo at the Austrian GP and took out Red Bull’s Max Verstappen at Red Bull’s home race of all places, ruining his own race in the process too.
“He misjudged his braking point and Max was an unfortunate victim of that”, said Red Bull team boss Christian Horner talking about the incident in Austria. “But I don’t think anybody is going to come down too hard on him.”

When asked if Red Bull have then indeed taken up Kvyat’s option, Horner said : “Not yet, but I cannot see a scenario where it won’t be.
“He has actually driven a pretty sensible season so far, so the likelihood is that it will be taken up in the relatively near future.”
What does Kvyat staying mean for Sainz? Is he leaving? If not, what does this mean for Pierre Gasly? We shall follow this driver market kerfuffle as it takes shape.
