All Formula E teams have kept their 2017/18 season 4 cars private until now, but Mahindra Formula E team are set to be the first ones to publicly demonstrate their season 4 challenger when the run the M4Electro at Goodwood this weekend.
The demo run shall be done by Mahindra Formula E driver Nick Heidfeld, who incidentally still holds the outright Goodwood hill record when he set a time of 41.6 seconds in a McLaren-Mercedes Formula One car back in 1999.

“We’re excited to bring Nick and the M4Electro to Goodwood in a bid to set the fastest open-wheel electric record on the hillclimb”, said Mahindra FE team principal Dilbagh Singh.
“We are always looking to push the boundaries as a team and we couldn’t think of a better way to introduce the season four challenger to fans and automotive enthusiasts alike than at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.”
The season four cars shall race with 180 kW as opposed to the current 170 kW power. Having taken their first ever Formula E race win with Felix Rosenquist at the Berlin ePrix this year, Mahindra Racing look to go from strength to strength.
With all other FE teams waiting for the 2017/18 pre-season test to reveal their new cars, this is a lovely idea for Mahindra to make it public, at Goodwood of all places.
