Sauber F1 Team had initially planned to introduce their update package in Barcelona for the Spanish GP.
However with the technical team needing a bit more time to develop a new floor for the cars, the floor is set to be introduced this weekend in Monaco, thus completing Sauber’s update package.

Sauber have been very aggressive and proactive with their updates this season. They ran a new rear wing, front brake ducts and wing flaps last time out in Spain which turned out to be a successful outing as Pascal Wehrlein finished P8 bringing in some valuable points for the Swiss outfit.
Continuing with the good form, Sauber are reportedly running new sidepod deflectors, rear brake ducts, and a Monaco spec rear wing, alongside the new floor.
“We have made our development plan a step more aggressive”, said team principal Monisha Kaltenborn, “That’s what we will be implementing, focusing on the next race in Monaco and then the races to come – Spielberg and Silverstone.
“We are not going to give up the season just because we have an old engine.”
