Dillmann has been working on securing a full time Venturi Formula E seat for the next season, and even did a shakedown at last month’s Mexico ePrix where he stood in for Stephane Sarrazin.

“This is a great opportunity and after I was in contact with Venturi, the first step was getting some running at Mexico although it was very short”, said the French driver talking to

“But in Mexico, I learnt more from seeing how things operate in the race and how a race is run, this was really useful to experience.”

Commenting on the fact that his debut takes place at his home ePrix, Dillmann said : “It will be nice to race on the streets of my capital city of course, but it will be tough as most of the drivers have two full seasons racing.

“I will respect this but for me the aim is to do a good job for the team but also to look forward to season four because I want to race full-time in the championship then.”

Well if he does, Tom Dillmann has a very good base to start from. Venturi do seem keen to have him, giving him the shakedown in Mexico, now the race start at the Paris ePrix, and they have even decided to give him some testing time ahead of the Paris race by utilising one of their filming days.
