Late drama, incredible tension, and a happy ending – Rally Mexico 2017 could’ve been a Bollywood movie for all I know.
Citroen’s Northern Irish rally driver, Kris Meeke, led throughout the majority of the World Rally Championship’s Rally Mexico in his Citroen C3 WRC.

In the dying embers of the final stage however, Meeke lost control of his Citroen and veered off course at a fast right hand corner and flew off to find himself in a……..spectator parking lot. Yeah.

He then looked to be understandably dazed and lost as he pulled a couple of drifts and sharp turns, eventually making his way out of the parking lot.
However, thanks to the sizable lead that Meeke had built up, the hero came home to his happy ending as he still took the win at Rally Mexico narrowly beating out M-Sport’s Sebastian Ogier by a mere 13.8 seconds.

WRC taking fan engagement to the next level, I see.
